Caribbean stud poker is a game that is an excellent option for the gambler who is comfortable taking risks and following strict strategies.
In this game each bettor is competing against the dealer’s hand (the house) and not against other players.
To enter the game, each better puts up their ante and also has the option of betting into the jackpot. The dealer then deals five cards to each player as well as five to himself with one of the cards dealt face up. After the deal each player has the option of either surrendering their ante and folding or placing a bet which is double the ante.
Caribbean Stud Poker Odds
Caribbean stud poker online, like most games where you play against the dealer, this one cannot be beaten in the long run. For these reasons, most poker players do not consider it to be a form of poker.
The caribbean stud poker game dealer must have an ace-king hand in order to play. If the dealer does not have a qualifying hand, the house pays the antes but the bets are a push. Following this strategy carefully keeps the house average at 4.4% but any mistakes made in this caribbean stud poker strategy can up the house advantage to 8%-12%. It is clear from these statistics that Caribbean stud poker is a game for gamblers who enjoy the excitement of playing a highly strategic game.
Of course, knowing of what other players hold can decrease the house edge. It has been estimated with the knowledge of 6 other player’s hands (30 cards) and associated optimal strategy the player can gain an edge of 2.3%! Unfortunately in must cases it’s not possible :).

Why we all love slots?
