Women’s Poker Night Book Released.

Did you know that, women are the fastest growing demographic of new poker players more than a third of poker players and the number of women playing poker keeps growing. In today’s poker world, the women poker players come to play and will take players’ stacks just as fast their male poker players counterparts. For those who haven’t been paying attention over the last couple of years, women poker like Annie Duke and Jennifer Harman have made it known that women poker players are here to stay and the boys better watch out.

The surge of serious female interest in poker has created a need for a serious women’s poker book that documents the rise and experiences of women and poker. WOMEN’S POKER NIGHT provides women with much needed information on how to successfully navigate the poker world and to empower them to successfully challenge their opponents.

Compiled by Maryann Morrison, a woman poker herself and founder and president of the Women’s Poker Club and publisher of Woman Poker Player magazine, WOMEN’S POKER NIGHT is a collection of frank, funny, and empowering stories that examines just how far women poker players have come—and what it took to get there. You’ll find eye-opening personal anecdotes from women poker players at every level of expertise—trailblazing stars, circuit pros, and avid amateurs alike. Barbara Enright—one of the greatest women players of all time—recounts her journey to become the first woman at the final table at the World Series of Poker. Star players and poker writers including Cyndy Violette, Rose Richie, Cat Hulbert, Toby Leah Bochan, Jennifer Leo, Barbara Connors, Michele Lewis, and Amy Calistri give their perspectives on the game they love, and offer insights on topics as diverse as using feminine wiles to outwit your opponents, the pros and cons of women only poker tournaments, and much more.

Along the way, these dedicated women players share insider tips, stories of rousing victories and bitter defeat, hard-won advice gleaned through decades of combined experience—and, most of all, a wealth of inspiration and encouragement for every woman who’s ever thought about taking a seat at the table and showing the men how it’s done.

According to Maryann Morrison, “Women’s Poker Night takes a different approach to the strategies that it presents in its chapters. Just as learned experience at the table can make someone a better poker player, so can learning through the experiences of others. Initial feedback from some readers has been that reading Women’s Poker Night is like talking to the contributors in a private conversation. It’s an incredibly enjoyable way to learn more about poker, whether you play or not.”

Women’s Poker Book’s Endorsements:

“Girls got game, and this book proves it. A must-read for all poker players, men and women alike.”
—Annie Duke, 2004 WSOP Tournament of Champions winner.

“I used to walk through a poker room and only would see a couple of women in the room, now when I walk through, there’s a woman at every table.”
—Jennifer Harman, high stakes player and two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner.

“I look forward to the day when all women can be confident playing against men. In my family, the women were always the better poker players.”
—Lacey Jones, professional poker player.

Following the arrests in the US of its founders, NETeller, the well known online payment third-party processor , has ceased allowing US Customers to use its services as of 8am EST 17th Jan 2007.

Citadel Commerce, another recognized payment processing brand in the industry, have also decided to stick to non-gambling transactions following NETeller steps.

Rumors going around that CLICK2PAY, probably the 3rd largest payment processing company is also withdrawing the USA market by not allowing new accounts to American residents as of Jan.19.

Other well known USA based e-wallets, eCheck and INSTADEBIT also decided to stop casino transactions.

Does that mean the end of the online betting fun for Americans?

Well, that depends on you. We are happy to announce that are many alternative easy, safe and secure deposit and cash out methods.

I have a question for you: - What happened when PayPal, the giant of online payments, stopped gambling transactions back in 2001?

Casino operators are running around, as we speak, cutting new deals with smaller “eWallet” companies. We still don’t know who is going to be the winner. Who’s going to take the gap.

The bottom line is that people are going to find a way.

Here is a list of other safe and secure deposit and cash-out methods accepted by some online casinos, poker and sport books:

· Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard and Diners Club)
Some casinos will use a third, not gambling, party that shows in your statement. They
almost 100% acceptance rate of any credit or debit card.

· Click2Pay
USA Players who have active Click2Pay accounts may process their deposits and
withdrawals through Click2Pay.

· ePassporte
An eWallet solution similar to NETeller.

· PayTru
An eWallet solution similar to NETeller. Easy to use!

· PaySpark
Another eWallet solution similar to NETeller.

· ATMonline
An eWallet solution similar to NETeller. I must say I’m not a big they require you to install and Active X.

· UK Debit Cards
This another reliable way.

· Moneybookers
Moneybookers is a highly trusted and secure method of making international online
payments.

· eMoneyGram
Convenient and reliable e-Wallet.

Australian Open 2007 Finals

Australian Open Women’s Final Match

Maria Sharapova, the 2006 US Open champion, will be making her first appearance in an Australian Open final after two losses in the semi-finals, one of them to Willams in 2005.

Serena Williams, unseeded and ranked No81 in the world, made it back to a Grand Slam final for the first time in two years with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 win over Nicole Vaidisova at the Australian Open today.
Williams, who has seven Grand Slam titles to her name, weathered Vaidisova’s powerful forehands and gave back plenty of her own, sometimes surprising the 17-year-old Czech with her speed around the court and the pace of her ball.

The 2005 champion will face the No1 seed, Maria Sharapova ,in the final, after the 19-year-old Russian brushed Kim Clijsters aside 6-4, 6-2 in the second semi-final.

Tomorrow’s women’s final will be a repeat of the 2005 semi-final when Maria Sharapova served for the match twice and Williams staved off three match points. The American went on to win the seventh and last of her grand slam titles, and so badly did she struggle in the early rounds this time that it seemed impossible she would be in a position to add an eighth. But the Williams are a fighting family, with Venus overturning all logic and form to win her third Wimbledon title in 2005. The more the odds are stacked against them, the more determined is the response of the sisters.

Sharapova said she was looking forward to a rematch with Williams. “I’m excited for that. She came into this tournament without any expectations, and she is playing great tennis,” she said. “To be in the final of a Grand Slam, that takes a lot of hard work. She’s won many of these titles - I have a lot to catch up.”

Australian Open Men’s Final Match

Defending champion Roger Federer advanced to the final of the Australian Open on Thursday after easily defeating Andy Roddick in a blockbuster semifinal. Federer will take on Chile’s Fernando Gonzalez in the Australian Open final tomorrow as the favorite to collect his 10th Grand Slam title.

Federer, who appeared in an Open Era-record 11th straight Grand Slam semi, has now won the last eight encounters over Roddick, including six finals, and is a perfect 5-0 versus the American in Grand Slam play. Federer holds a 13-1 advantage overall. The 25-year-old Federer has now won his last 13 matches at the Aussie Open and has captured his last 35 matches overall, dating back to last season, tying his personal record. The victory propelled Federer into his seventh straight Grand Slam final.

Fernando Gonzalez, seeking his first Grand Slam title, beat Tommy Haas in straight sets to set up an Australian Open final against top-ranked Roger Federer.

Having seen off Lleyton Hewitt, James Blake and Raphael Nadal on his way to his maiden grand slam semi-final, Gonzalez, the tournament tenth seed showed no nerves against the experienced German who was attempting to progress past the semi final stage in Melbourne for the first time in his third attempt.

Gonzalez, the No. 10 seed, overpowered his 12th-seeded German opponent 6-1, 6-3, 6-1 in 93 minutes to become only the second Chilean to reach the final of a major tennis championship after Marcelo Rios. The men’s final is scheduled Jan. 28.

Roger Federer owns a 9-0 record over the South American, winning their last meeting in the final at Basel in October, 2006.

It is not hard at all to pick who is going to be the new Australian Champion. But, would you gamble to guess what the score will be?

Australian Open 2007 - Roger Federer reaches the finals

Posted in Sport Betting by Lisa Sterling

World No.1 Roger Federer has blasted his way into the final of Australian Open 2007 in the most emphatic fashion, disposing of No.6 seed Andy Roddick in straight sets, 6-4 6-0 6-2 in a lopsided semifinal on Day 11.

All the talk leading into the match had centred on how much the American had bridged the gap between himself and the Swiss maestro in the past 12 months, but Federer quickly exposed such conjecture on the big stage of Rod Laver Arena.

The No.1 seed set the tone from the very first game when he broke Roddick’s opening service game and despite losing his own serve in the fourth game - the only time for the match - Federer was able to come up with another break to take the first set.

If the sublime array of strokes on display in the first set had the American unsettled, then the Swiss master’s elevated level of play in the second had him positively uncomfortable.

Federer broke his opponent three times, smashed 11 winners to two and allowed Roddick to score a paltry six points for the entire set as he failed to win a game.

If the American had been hoping to ride out the storm and work into the match in the third set he was sorely mistaken as the ‘Fed Express’ continued on his way merry way, breaking in the first game and then the fifth to have the match in his keeping.

Amazingly, the world No.1 broke his opponent each and every time the opportunity presented itself - seven from seven for the match - and while he blotted his copybook by spurning his first match point, he did not waste the second, setting up a shot at his third Australian Open title.
