A long standing BetUS.com tradition continues as another of our top models hits the big time! See Jillian Tuesdays on the CW at 8/7 central.

A bit about Jillian Beyor

Jillian prefers to be in a thong in her Miami backyard far more than the ski clothes she wore growing up in New Hampshire. “The date doesn’t matter, it’s the chemistry I feel with the person I’m with,” she told us, so remember that for your first night at the arcade with her. Her favorite holiday is Valentine’s Day and she expects a man to bring her flowers, stuffed animals and vodka martinis. Jillian ran the 100m hurdles in college. All we could say for her is, thank God for sports bras.

Superbowl 2008 - New York Giants vs. New England Patriots

Posted in Gambling General, Gambling News, Sport Betting by Diana Sterling

The New England Patriots will try and become only the second team in NFL history to finish a season unbeaten as they face the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLII in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday.

The Patriots would join the 1972 Miami Dolphins as the only team to finish a season without a loss although the Patriots would finish 19-0 while the Dolphins went 17-0. SBG Global reports that early NFL betting has the public taking Giants on the Road.

New England is trying to win their fourth Super Bowl title in four years and be labeled as the best team in NFL history. Head coach Bill Belichick doesn’t want to hear any of that talk before the game though. “I think there’s always a time to reflect back on the season; this isn’t it,” he said, “Right now the time is to focus on the Giants and prepare for this game, so that’s what we’re doing. Later on after the season or whenever, some other point in history, looking back is fine, but we’re not anywhere close to that right now.”

SuperBowl Current Lines

The Giants and Patriots played in the final week of the regular season with New England winning 38-35. The Giants actually led 28-16 in that game before the Patriots roared back to win. The Patriots are led by two-time Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady who threw an NFL record 50 touchdown passes this season in leading the best offense in NFL history. “Being 18-0 I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished thus far and I think we have talked as a team that for the rest of our lives we’ll all remember this week, win or lose,” Brady said. “We are all going to do our best to hopefully make that one of the weeks that we remember for all of the great reasons and not a week we would like to forget.” On the other side of the field it is Eli Manning who has been great in the playoffs after having a mediocre regular season. Manning actually threw 20 interceptions this season, tied for most in the NFL.

New York set an NFL single-season record with 10 straight road victories including their three playoff games. The key to the Super Bowl may be how much pressure New York gets on Brady. Michael Strahan and Osi Umenyiora lead a Giants defense that led the league in sacks with 53. New York only sacked Brady once in their 38-35 loss.

Here are the NFL betting stats for Sunday’s game. The Giants are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 playoff games as an underdog. The Giants are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games on grass. The Giants are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games overall.

The Patriots are 13-6 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. The Patriots are 40-19-3 ATS in their last 62 games on grass. The Patriots are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite.

The Under is 4-1 in the Giants last 5 playoff games. The Under is 5-2 in the Giants last 7 games on grass. The Over is 4-0 in the Patriots last 4 games on grass. The Under is 4-1-1 in the Patriots last 6 games as a favorite. The Under is 9-3-1 in the Patriots last 13 playoff games as a favorite.

NFL Playoffs Wild Card games

Posted in Gambling News, Sport Betting by Diana Sterling

Wild Card Weekend kicks off on Saturday and these experts break down all four matchups. You can place any bet on any NFL Playoff game at SportsBook.com. Bettors from USA are all welcome to bet.

Washington Redskins @ Seattle Seahawks

The Washington Redskins are the feel-good story of the playoffs, winning four straight games to make it in, even after the death of their safety Sean Taylor. Now, they head to Seattle to play a Seahawks team that has made a habit out of hosting playoff games, and they are tough to beat at Qwest Field. Seattle has struggled in the run game with Shaun Alexander, but he has looked a little better of late and the offense should be more balanced. I believe the Redskins’ Cinderella season comes to an end.

Prediction: Seahawks -3 ½

Everyone is busy talking about Washington and Jacksonville as the hot teams going into the playoffs but Seattle is flying under the radar after clinching their division in Week 14. In fact, the 10-6 Seahawks could be 12-4 if they had more to play for down the stretch. Running back Shaun Alexander had another down year, rushing for only 716 yards but quarterback Matt Hasselbeck threw for 28 touchdowns and almost 4,000 yards. I like Seattle to win this game at home but think it’ll be a tight game.

Prediction: Redskins +3 ½

Jacksonville Jaguars @ Pittsburgh Steelers

This is a rematch of a Week 15 game that the Jaguars won 29-22, dominating the Steelers on the ground in their home stadium. If you listen to the so-called experts, they are predicting a Jaguars’ win, and 72% of the bettors at Sportsbook.com like the Jaguars giving two points. The Steelers have been hearing the negative talk and this proud franchise will bring their best effort at home. Ultimately though, the Jaguars are the better overall team and I like them to win by a field goal.

Prediction: Jaguars -2

The scale is definitely tilted in the Jaguars favor. They’re the hot team, Pittsburgh’s offensive and defensive lines are mangled with injuries and Jacksonville won at Heinz Field last month. Everyone’s screaming Jacksonville in this game and while I agree that the Jaguars have momentum, I can’t seem to bet against the Steelers. They are playing at home, are tough at home in the playoffs and I think they’ll be eager to stuff the run after getting steamrolled by Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew last month.

Prediction: Steelers +2

Bet Now at SportsBook.com

New York Giants @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Giants are coming off their hard-fought loss against New England and they paid a heavy price for playing their starters in a meaningless game. Center Shaun O’Hara, linebacker Kawika Mitchell and cornerback Sam Madison were all injured and are questionable for this game. Tampa took the opposite approach and rested a lot of their players the last two weeks after they wrapped up the NFC South. I think that decision comes back to bite them, and the Giants feed off their momentum for a win.

Prediction: Giants +2 ½

Lots of praise for the New York Giants following last weekend’s hard-fought contest against the New England Patriots. The Giants played hard but in the end, Eli Manning did what he does best and made a mistake to cost his team the game. You knew Eli would break down in the clutch and he did. Now his one good game in forever is behind him and he can get back to his regular, high interception ratio.

Prediction: Buccaneers -2 ½

Bet Now at SportsBook.com

Tennessee Titans @ San Diego Chargers

San Diego enters this game having won six in a row and they have plenty of motivation after choking as a number one playoff seed last year. Tennessee slipped into the final playoff spot after Indianapolis treated last week like an exhibition game. The latest news for the Titans is that quarterback Vince Young is fine after his quad injury. This will be Young’s first playoff game and the first for the team since the 2003 season and there are only five players remaining from that team. I’m giving the points.

Prediction: Chargers -9

San Diego is playing well but they still have issues with quarterback Philip Rivers playing inconsistently. Tennessee played the Chargers tough last month as the game went into overtime. With such a close game just played, I have no idea why there’s such a huge spread in this game and why Tennessee is getting no love at all. I am not a Vince Young fan, but at the same time, I know that the Titans deserve better than a nine-point spread.

Prediction: Titans +9

NFL Week 7 Predictions

Posted in Sport Betting by Diana Sterling
AddThis Social Bookmark Button

With the NFL Football spreads getting tougher and tougher, both writers had trouble predicting the outcomes again last week and both enter this weekend with a 7-11-2 record.

Here is how they break down Week 7.

Kansas City @ Oakland Raiders

Mike: This is a spirited battle between AFC West rivals, who hate each other all the way back from their AFL days. The first thing that stands out about this game is the Over/Under is just 37.5 points. That makes sense as the Oakland offense is ranked 20th in the NFL 2007 season, while Kansas City’s is 26th. Both teams want to establish the run, and the Chiefs are hoping to get a second good game in a row from Larry Johnson. However, it is the Raiders who have the better rushing attack overall, and that will carry them to a home win on Sunday.

Prediction: Raiders -3

Cras: The Chiefs have erased the dismal start to the season with three wins in the last four outings. Despite fumbling at the one yard line last week, Larry Johnson had a breakout game with 119 rushing yards and a touchdown. More importantly, he looked like the Larry Johnson everyone expected to see this year. The Raiders have a good defense but will they be able to slow Johnson? They couldn’t slow L.T. last week as he racked up 198 yards and four touchdowns.

Prediction: Chiefs +3

Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans Saints

Mike: A dark cloud has lifted over the city of New Orleans as the Saints finally won their first game of the year last week, 28-17 at Seattle. Now, they must continue to stay hot if they hope to climb back into the playoff hunt. For Atlanta, the big news is that former Jaguar, Byron Leftwich will get his first start of the season. Leftwich is still learning the Bobby Petrino offense, but this gutsy player will provide a spark for the awful Falcons’ offense, and help keep this game within double digits.

Prediction: Falcons +8

Cras: Where the heck were the New Orleans Saints in the first quarter of the season? Finally, after four terrible efforts they showed up last weekend in Seattle and that has a lot of bettors, 57 percent, backing the Saints this weekend. I got burned by New Orleans too many times over the first four weeks and it’ll take more than one game to prove to me they are the same team they were last year.

Prediction: Falcons +8

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Detroit Lions

Mike: Tampa Bay is 4-2 and Coach Jon Gruden is back to his tricks of “coaching up” his team. It certainly helps having a veteran quarterback like Jeff Garcia, but the Bucs are playing solid on both sides of the ball. Detroit is 3-2, but they have gotten blown out in two of their last three. The good news is that they are 2-0 at home and coming off a bye week. Still, there is no way they should be giving points to this Tampa team, even in the Motor City.

Prediction: Buccaneers +2

Cras: The Detroit Lions enter Week 7, seven wins short of Jon Kitna’s bold prediction that they’d win 10 games this season. Washington picked apart the Lions two weeks ago, holding the offense to just 144 yards. Detroit has had the bye week to fix their issues and get ready for a tough Tampa Bay defense. The Lions are perfect at home so far this season and I will take them at home this weekend.

Prediction: Lions -2

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Denver Broncos

Mike: This Sunday night game at Mile High is one of the best on the schedule this week. Denver finds themselves almost in a must-win situation at 2-3, while Pittsburgh has surprised many of the pundits with a 4-1 mark. A lot of that credit has to go to first year coach, Mike Tomlin. Broncos’ coach, Mike Shanahan knows his team must do a lot better job stopping the run if they hope to win this game. I believe they will slow down the Steelers just enough to make this a field goal contest at the end.

Prediction: Denver +3 ½

Cras: Denver has had a bye week to try and get the offense going. The play of quarterback Jay Cutler has been sketchy thus far and the loss of wide receiver Javon Walker the last few weeks has definitely hurt. Pittsburgh gets back a bunch of key players this weekend as receiver Hines Ward is set to return while Santonio Holmes and safety Troy Polamalu will also play this weekend. That’s bad news for Denver, who hasn’t been as dominant at home as they have in the past.

Prediction: Steelers-3 ½

NFL 2007 Betting Odds Week 2

Posted in Sport Betting by Diana Sterling

Hello everybody,

NFL 9/16-9/17

It is the clash of the titans this Sunday night with the Patriots (-3) hosting the Chargers in New England. The Chargers are still smarting from last year’s playoff loss to Tom Brady and company, but they are 9-1 in their last 10 games as a road dog.

In an AFC South battle, Indianapolis and Tennessee both try to improve to 2-0 with the Colts, a solid 7.5 point road favorite.

Other games that have fans salivating include Washington (+7) at Philadelphia, Minnesota (+3) at Detroit, and Buffalo (+9.5) at Pittsburgh.

NFL football is better than ever, and Sportsbook.com has all the odds and props that you need.

College Football - 9/13-9/15

The USC Trojans are the number one team in the country, although the LSU Tigers are breathing down their necks.
This week, USC (-10) travels to Lincoln, Nebraska to take on the upset-ready Cornhuskers in a Saturday night primetime showdown. Nebraska has turned around its program and is 6-1 ATS in its last seven games at home.
In other great action, Tennessee is getting eight points against Florida in The Swamp. Boston College is a 6.5 point dog at Georgia Tech in a battle of Top 25 teams, and Michigan (-7.5) hosts Notre Dame as two storied programs try to avoid dropping to 0-3.

MLB - 9/14-9/16

MLB pennant races take a front seat this weekend with the greatest rivalry in the game, Red Sox and Yankees. The Sox are looking for payback after getting swept in New York two weeks ago, and a series win at home could wrap up their first AL East crown since 1995.
All eyes will also be on the NL Central as the Cubs and Cardinals will meet for four games. The Cubs hold an 8-4 advantage over the Redbirds this year, but they have been one of the worst bets overall in baseball this season.

Pennant fever is spreading at Sportsbook.com, so make sure to catch it today.

NASCAR 9/16 – Sylvania 300 New Hampshire International Raceway

The fourth annual Chase for the Nextel Cup begins on Sunday at New Hampshire International Speedway. Right now at Sportsbook.com, you can place future wagers on which driver you think will win the championship.
Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Tony Stewart and Denny Hamlin are four of the favorites and each has enticing odds.
As for this Sunday’s Sylvania 300, Johnson is a top favorite, but Hamlin, with his July win here and 3.7 average finish overall, is a serious contender as well. Also watch out for Jeff Gordon and the defending champion, Kevin Harvick.
