Good News for Playtech players
Playtech has announced that its Tribeca Tables migration to the iPoker Network has completed ahead of
schedule.
Tribeca Tables Europe, including the Tain Poker group, was acquired by Playtech in November 2006, and it
was estimated that the migration of all players to the iPoker Network would be completed by mid April.
However, the migration is already finished, despite the number of concurrent players in peak time rising
from 8,400 to 20,000. This expansion heralds a boost to revenues from poker royalties. Further increase
is expected from Playtech’s success in cross-selling side casino games to a number of existing licensees.
The Playtech group says that this is in line with its “continued strategy to diversify its portfolio and
geographical reach making it the world’s leading poker network.”
The highly popular design has already attracted the likes of VC Poker and Paddy Power, while others such
as Titan Poker, Poker770, Noble Poker and Betfred have been on iPoker for some time.
Founded in 1999, the company waited seven years before floating on London’s Alternative Investment Market
in March 2006 (PTEC). It then expanded its product range to include Bingo, Mobile Gaming, Live Gaming,
Land-Based Kiosk Networks and Fixed-Odds Games. It is the world’s largest publicly traded online gaming
software supplier.
