I think we can keep the ass thing away and try to reply to the original question. I think pros do have fun while playing for money. Otherwise there is nothing interesting that keeps them going. I've seen many players (great players) talking about their game after winning and they won't do that if they just did it for money.

I usually don't get very far in a tourney unless i'm having fun! I don't play by statistics as much as I should, so I expect my emotional state have quite a big influence on my calls.

I agree that emotional state does quite a character when we play poker but this is something that we need to be aware of. Professional players do not become emotional or they don't allow emotions to interfere with the game. This is the secret behind their success.
