Here's something I haven't seen yet, and it seems like quite an obvious one to me. I'm a social gambler! I get the boys round and lay down a few hands of poker or blackjack. A couple of buds and we're set for the evening.

There's some cash involved, but it's really just a handy way to keep score. I'll play online casinos if a friend or two joins me, otherwise it's a bore. Who wants to win in solitude?

In short, gambling is the basic needs as like as food, sex etc. Gambling is the basic instinct & the way for refreshment. That’s why people do gambling.

This is quite a hilarious claim. I've never heard gambling as a basic need haha... So, have we seen animals do gambling?

Anyways, one guy has said that he is a social gambler. I quite agree with that and it is a very valid point. Many people do gambling as it is a social activity.

I think everyone start gambling as a fun hobby with a little bit of money and then move on to be regular players as this is highly addictive as far as I believe. Anyway, there are number of explanations for this and people gamble for many reasons.

If this to be out quite nicely, they all start gambling for the same reason that I've mentioned here but sustain it for different reasons. Poverty, addiction are just two of them I suppose.

People may start gambling for many reasons. Sometimes when people get shock from his/her girl/boy friends, they may start drinks, gambling etc

Yes they do start for many reasons and it is hard to categorize all that. But what is important that to find the reasons what makes them play regularly.

As a matter of fact I know that there are many countries that tries to gamble to earn some money. They will do whatever to win including cheating if it earns money for them.

It is easy to understand why people do gamble. Let us find out why people play soccer, basketball; wrestling etc, the answer is similar why people do gamble regularly.

I don't agree with that... what you mentioned are sports. They are played as a team and their returns are different. The motivations for playing a game is quite different from the motivations for gambling. Many sports build your character.

It is not acceptable to compare sports with gambling as they lie on two separate plains. Two different ideologies all together.

I am also not agree with rothel as in our society there is a strong believe that gambling is not ethical but there is no such controversy against sports.
